Summary
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell is a touching tale of love and loss. When a new girl with big hair and a bigger fashion sense arrives on Park's bus one day he is forced to share his seat. Unbeknownst to either of them a bond connects them through music and comic books. Soon enough Eleanor and Park just can't keep the other out of their heads. They think they can last, that "nothing before...counts...and [they] can't even imagine an after." (237) But all is not well at Eleanor's house where she recently moved back in with her mother, siblings, and step father. Keeping Park a secret is what's keeping Eleanor safe but secrets don't last forever. After just finding each other the pair must figure out how to hang on to their love whilst keeping Eleanor out of harm's (and her step-father's) way.
